When will you receive your money?
Our goal is to process your first-time application for unemployment benefits within 5 weeks. In some cases, it may take longer before you receive your decision. Our ambition is always for you to receive your money as quickly as possible.
When will your case be finalized?
Every case is different, and unfortunately, we cannot give an exact date for when your case will be processed.
- For new applications (first-time applicants), it usually takes about 5 weeks.
- Other types of cases may take longer.
You will receive information in Mina sidor (My pages) when we review your case. If you haven’t heard from us, it means we haven’t had time to process your case yet.
Why does it sometimes take longer?
Processing can take longer, for example if:
- You haven’t submitted everything on your “to-do” list
- We are waiting for information from another authority, school, or employer
How you can help speed up your application
- Be thorough when filling in your application for benefits
It is important to provide information about everything you have done during the past 13 months. - Log in to Mina sidor and submit all the items on your “To-do” list
If we need additional information once we have reviewed your case, we will notify you in My Pages. - Submit your monthly application every month
Continue reporting for the months you apply for benefits, even if we haven’t yet made a decision. - Report any changes to us
For example, if you get a job, take parental leave, or begin studies. - Do not send the same certificate multiple times
Sending duplicates may delay processing. In Mina sidor under “Mina dokument & brev", you can see which documents you have already submitted.
